RM/LT Hybrid
« on: March 30, 2013, 08:21:59 pm »

Just finished up the reassembly of my hybrid. Running 97 RM 250 engine, 86 250 frame, 88 swinger, relocated the upper shock mounts for 87+ front shocks. Engine is still stock, just a fresh top end, 38mm airstryker, and Dynoport pipe and DG silencer with ffresh packing. New fliptop set built specificaly for those of us LT guys that run MX and have to make constant adjustments without having the plastics in the way.

If I were to judge you by what this quad looks like, I'd think you're missing your right leg.
Man, that would suck trying to start a quad only having one leg LOL

Looks good though, what kind of dry weight are you looking at?

Hemi, the only thing you need is to add a 3/16" spacer on each side of the lower mount of the Dogbone link.

LT250, the angle is off. Plus, completely different cylinder and powervalve design. I figured it would be best to stick with the pipe that was designed for the engine..

Tex, you're almost correct, but I'm missing my left leg. I ride it backwards ;)
I haven't had the chance to get her weighed, but its most likely not too different from the stock weight. The engine is 2-3 pounds lighter, front shocks are 2-3 pounds lighter, but the fliptop brackets weighed in at 2 pounds.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Still one of my favorite RM/LT brids Hemi! The future build with the YZF motor is going to be more like yours. I really like your front suspension setup.
