keep on track with one of the reputable builders on here . the guys here specialize in these bikes and have a love for them

I have a flotek small reed jug, the work looks good, But it's mostly just a cleanup/mild trail port.

A LOT of the air cooled ATC250R guys use Flotek and he can make those things SCREAM!!! Idk if any of the guys have put them on a dyno or not but I know that they are some who walk away from 450's and 450 trykes. They say Denny is good people too.

My topend is at Carl right now. Cant wait to feel the power when it gets back. I have heard of people using flotek on the lt250 and banshees trx250r. with good results.

i remember talking to flotek a long time ago, his prices were really cheap. then i found qrhq and i thought you had to be rich
to afford a top end from Q, but after talking to a bunch of guys that really know what they are doing with the LT's, i did not
use flotek. i guess he can give you a really good price on a clean up, but if you want more power go with someone that works
and bleeds for these old bikes. but i have heard he can build some really fast bikes, just not the LT's.

I had mine done by Denny, great prices but I didn't really get what I wanted. After talking to Matt at MHR I found out he gave me more of drag port than the mx/trail port I was looking for. I will have mhr do my next cylinder.

not try to say matt is incorrect but when mx/trail/tt/dune/drag/play dune/mild port/extreme port/ect is added to a type of port job, its subjective labeling. what someone calls a wild port job, another builder will say its mild...so im just saying that just bc a different builder labeled your port something else from the builder you got the work done, doesnt mean that they did an incorrect job. there is no line that defines what is a drag port vs a trail port. its all based on opinions.

Well Matt's opinion was based on the numbers I got from Denny, and the way it feels to me I agree with Matt it's a performer when it is constantly spun up balls to the wall but I really have to work the clutch hard to lug it around a track. I'm not saying anything bad about flotek in the dunes and back roads it hauls the mail but I don't ride those places anymore and I want to run a full mhr mx setup pipe and all. I know of one guy who has that setup and it's awesome. Not to get off track here, just do your research and pick your build wisely.

Some builders port using standard port templates, Trail/Mx/Dune/Drag and then there are the few like Jerry, Carl and MHR that port to your combination. Not cookie cutter port jobs.

If you want to know, ask Denny, he is on everything2stroke. I want him to do my motor. He has done my blaster last year, but I went in for training and had kids I'm still building. He does a great job comunicating. He rounds shift stars m lightened flywheels too. I trust his work and respect his artwork. For boasters n banshees he is an expert. He had an LT before idk if he still do but I know he will do good work and will try to give you what you want, depends on pipe carb riding style and gas you use. That's what makes your engine nice to port specs. If you miss those then you will be stealing the potential power your bike has to show you.

You can reach Denny at 814 382 0254. It is a land line phone so leave a message if he doesn't answer. I have been talking to him about some work for my LT as well as Iceracer and Jerry Hall. If you want your mind blown call Jerry Hall 623 931 8132, He pretty much talked me out of everything I was wanting to do because I wanted to stay on pump gas. Really good guy and super knowledgeable. I used three words when talking to Jerry.... reliable and pump gas...
I found building an engine harder than I thought. It really isn't call a guy and tell him you want dune porting and to run on pump gas...
I guess if you really know what you want, just about anyone can build that for you.
From what I have heard and read, Matt Hatfield is not returning parts and LT owners are having a lot of problems.
Ice racer, always takes the time he has to talk with you.
Denny at FloTek will take time to talk with you as well..
Jerry Hall usually spends about 45 minutes explaining large amounts of information and past experiences with me. Even though he talks me out of what I want, which is for my own benefit he does say that he will do whatever I want; however, (my favorite part) don't call me whining when it fails...
Hope this helps some.
