Okay that makes sense then. I'm running an ancient FMF Gold Series pipe on the bike. As long as I'm not burning transmission oil then it's no big.

If your flange is removable from the main body of the pipe, you may be able to have grooves machined around the outside circumference to accept O-rings to help eliminate or at least reduce the oil blow through.
