The New Suzuki Quadracer HQ Welcomes All LT500 Quadzilla, LT250, LTR450, LTZ400, LTZ250, LT80 owners to the Suzuki Quadracer HQ forums
Idk what's wrong with the LTR's you guys are racing, but my 07' easily walks my buddy's piped and jetted YFZ and my bro's KFX. All I've done is remove the airbox lid and pea-shooter, and add a bomb. I'm running 20" rears with the stock gearing too, so I imagine I'd beat em even worse if I dropped a tooth on the front sprocket.
I've beat every LTR I've raced with my YFZ the LTR's are pretty heavy bikes for the 450 class. 370 pound bike vs 414 pound and the most horsepower you're gonna get on a stock bore and stroke 450 is about 65hp(unless your on a bottle). YFZ's with just having a CT pipe dyno at 48hp. I'd say mine is roughly close to 50hp it's not going to get blown out of the water by any other bolt on 450...I'm not saying it wont lose. I personally love the early model 450's they're lighter! I do not have the YFZR those are just as heavy as an LTR. BTW I've beat LTR's with full pipe's and the cherry bomb back when I was running the GYTR set up one of my friends has that exact set up.
Are you guys aware of the alternate efi mapping on the LTR? Buddy had it done to his along with the reg slip on mods and it make a LOT of difference. Suzuki got in some heat for having the alternate mapping on the LTR so it probably won't be available on future production runs.
Rat, is your 250 back together? Are you going to make the spring ride at Little Sahara?
