anythings worth trying .....so you think it could be the cdi box?
it came with the bike when i bought it but it seems to work fine i have lights and good spark the coil and stator are stock and new the flywheel is good still right on the keyway has not moved since installed
You said in an earlier post that it ran good with a different carb, If this is still true it rules out the problem being electrical.
An easy way to diagnose a severe rich condition is to turn off the pet
**** after you are up to speed and experiencing the rich condition at wide open throttle. As the fuel in the float bowl is consumed it will eventually lean out and run good for second or two. If it runs good for a second or two as the float bowl runs low, Lean the power jet some more or change to a needle that reduces the fuel flow at full throttle.
