Well I went out to ride with some friends & had a blast. The weather was beautiful and even though it was a busy holiday weekend, the dunes were not all torn up. PCS brought his crazy fast LTR-450 out to the drags & promptly delivered a$$ whoopin after a$$ whoopin. I even had time to ride my little ATC around a bit. Hopefully I'll be able to come back out 1 or 2 more times before Christmas & New Year.
All the little bugs that I had during the zillathon at the beginning of November were addressed & my bike worked flawless. I didn't lean too hard on my motor though as it already has a bunch of hours on the top end. The LTR front suspension & narrowed lower frame rails really made a difference in the handling of the bike. I know it's not an easy modification to do but certainly worth it if you have the time, energy and patience to do it.
Now I get to pull the engine & bring it back to the shop for some refreshening & to try a new combination of parts.
