LA Dunes first time ever at the dunes..
« on: May 20, 2013, 01:45:31 pm »
First time ever to this place. Thought water was getting deep so that's how I git wet. Than thumb throttle came loose inside the housing. Had to get some peeps that parked next to me to get me some tools. Than I notice after one pass my footpeg is loose. Than the unthinkable happens. Good thing its towards the end if the run and I'm about stopped. Or close to it anyway.

life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sidays totally worn out shouting "HOLY SH*T...WHAT A RIDE!"

Lucky! I had the right front nearly fly off of mine 2 Saturday's ago. Barely felt the wobble in the bars and jammed the breaks to stop. Losing wheels on a ride is scarey as hell.

Wow!  I had that happened to me twice at glamis, except it was my rear wheel.  Happened one time about 5 minutes after racing up Olds.

That could of been reeeeeaaalll bad!

What gearing were you running?

It's been really frustrating for me since i bought the extremes.  I ran faster with china made Vpaddles because i had no problem launching in 2nd.  Been really messing with gearing trying to get back to that with those extremes.
