DCS-6 Proto Testing Dyno Time!
« on: January 10, 2014, 03:54:28 pm »
Just signed off to go ahead and weld up the 1st DCS-6 Pipe and Silencer, after some dyno testing in the next few weeks we will post graphs and produce 10 to 15 exhaust systems, I apolgies for taking so dang long, been time and money project, but I think it will be well worth it when done, exspecting the power band to have the same bottom end, more mid and top.

Next goes back on the quad to put the mounting brackets (plural) and silencer and make sure everything is routed correctly, clears the air box, and plastic, then welded up, pressure test for pin holes, then dyno test and graph the power band.

OK , we ran off to Hesperia Ca  to Dyno test this weekend , very pleased with the results of the DCS-6, I want to give a shout out to Mike Yano for all his help, he was in that carb so fast to re jet, or to raise or lower the needle and saved us a bunch of time between runs, plus he was fastest at starting the LT500. These results are graphs to compare  the difference from the DCS-4 to the DCS- 6, I have also thrown in QV2 to compare, you want a pretty shiny $800 plus pipe hit Q up, I say save a few bucks get a DCS-6 use the extra cash for Head Mods, Reeds, Carb Mods, All the pipes out there (HPR, DCS Q) are great performers.

Nice Mitch!!!

Looks like the DCS 6 will be a prime alternative to the V2.

I like how it does not fall off as sharp as the V2

What is the price tag for these pipes?

Im working on that, I would like to keep the pricing affordable as possible for anyone interested in the DCS-6, I am setting it up with OEM Rubber Bushings and spacers in the silencer, I will be looking into the cost of polishing the stainless steel mid pipe and  aluminum silencer with Billet end cap. As for the pipe being plated im still not wound up about quoting this, seems everyone knows someone that can do a triple coat  or a double nickel plating for a good price.
I am hoping to have pricing about $200.00 less than a QV2 pipe and silencer.

Once jetted in correctly it rocked!

Mitch drain the other vp c12 can into the just opened c12 can & drain the fresh fuel in the tank into the empty can... Don't let it go stale like what was in the tank!

Going over the graphs, im thinking of modifing the pipe again, we gained a good amount of top end, but I  would like to get some of that mid range back.

good numbers Mitch, glad to see you blew past Q's pipe. but your pipe sure does look like jerrys pipe
with all the springs holding pipe together. and can i ask why are there so many rivets in the silencer.
instead of rivets why cant you have them put bolts in it, sure would make it easy to change packing.
drilling out rivets sucks, imo  so how many of these are going to be for sale
