Jerry hall/HPR is a member here MotorGeek he has his own forum, Matt Shearer/ SCP make's/made the Q pipes and I believe he's doing his own, his member name is Pipe-Ster here. Mitch has had some new pipes made with excellent results, hopefully another batch to come. The AAEN is a copy of the old Q pipe. It is much cheaper, a lot have expierenced fitment issue's and it's not to the quality of the other pipe's. There is also the paul turner/duncan racing pipe which is good compared to trinity and also a the old LRD pipe which in it's day was an excellent pipe. The 4 new pipes are much better than the old. HPR, SCP and Mitchs pipe's are your best choices. PM them here for more info.

drqperformance@yahoo.com if you want to solicit RK for a Dr. Q Pipe. Its not going to be the cheapest pipe to buy.

Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

My next choice would be a HPR Pipe from Jerry. I would have to get it dipped though. I love a big shiny 2 stroke pipe! 8)

Do you know what an estimated price would be for a Q pipe, and thanks for the replies.

Aaen is a great value for sure.

I would love to try a Paul Turner pipe someday. That's a classic LT500 pipe. Might be the right pipe for some.

We cant say that yet about the Q-V2 until this version has been ran for awhile (Time Will Tell), we need to be fair here, Q and or Matt did fix alot of the complaints from the Version 1 had. Mainly more brackets.

Q didn't fix anything, Shearer did
Q sub-contracted Shearers to MGF them, So at this time it is Q's pipe made by Shearer , But I do agree Matt did fix the bugs.

$650.00 or less eliminates a new Q or Hall pipe.

Flat track Racing is alot of high RPM, mid to WOT throttle right? I would think the Aaen would be a great choice.

Other options:
Pro-Pro's/Trinity - There is not alot feedback on how these pipe perform that I could find but they are still within budget.
Paul Tuner - Within Budget might not perform as well on the top end as the Aaen pipe. You might like the power delivery better.
Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

" I know for a fact that the V2 is all RK. From the headpipe to the stinger, to every single dimention of that Pipe. The V2 is not a copy of anything. Additionally I know RK babysat the production of the V2 & even machined much of the components personally. "

Kennerz:   Better off not saying anything when you don't know the facts.

These are Q'S pipes that we build for Q the way Q wants them....... Thats all that needs to be said........

Best pipe, like said above is personal opinion.

I can only speak to where I have personal experience.

Started with a PT Mid pipe.  Good pipe for stock, slightly modified bike.  Good power low and to the mid range, OK on the top end, but nothing special. Older pipe, all black, and probably rusty unless re-finished.  Good pipe for trails and all around.

PT Mid range (came with the bike when I bought it):

Q v1 pipe.  So, so low end, Ok in the mid range, but hits hard on the top end.  Allows almost 9k on the overrev.  Nickle plated and very shiny.  Good looking pipe, molded stamped finish.  Some have experienced cracks where the pipe mounts to the frame, I did not have this issue.  Good pipe for drag racing and OK for general dune riding.

Q-Pipe when I sold it (used about 12 months by me and was used to begin with):

HPR#19 pipe.  With my Q Hot Rod Dune porting, the Hall pipe did not have the 9k overrev, but topped out on power at about 7800 and overrev'ed to 8200.  Raw pipe, hand built.  Great pipe for all around dune riding, and can be used for all out drag racer (with a drag racer build).

HPR#19

I liked the Q pipe, but it did not fit what I wanted for my Zilla.  I wanted a raw pipe with more low/mid grunt.  The HPR met my needs.  Expensive, yes, but it was worth the cost to me to get the performance I wanted out of my Zilla and to match the look I wanted for my build (low bling).
