I cleaned the vinyl on this awesome seat i scored recently, put in new pilot and main jets, dropped the motor off at the local shop to have the crank installed, (i was gunna do it myself and get the tool but i want to get it up and running asap and with work and kids and waiting for shipping figured it was my best bet.) wile i was at the shop i also ordered a bunch more stuff. installed my brand new oem thumb throttle (screw that motion pro twister) wiped down some parts with aluminum polish so they are ready for install this week.
last week i painted my cases and cylinder and head. (not today but oh well.) i will get some updated pictures when she is back together.

I looked for new flat track tires from my couch. Does that count?

Took stickers off the fenders in preparation for rejuvenation sanding tomorrow...hung up my spare parts on my garage wall...completely dismantled a 1989 yamaha warrior to sell. Busy day.

Finally got around to installing the rear stainless brake line.

I sent my head and cylinder out to Carl for some love! Can't wait to get it back and slap it on!

I did a little sanding on my plastics, cleaned up my rear shock, and did a lot of starring at it. It's been a long time since I rode it and I'm having 2 stroke withdrawls.

I'm going to be starring at mine today, thinking of how much fun it was to ride. My 2013 trx450er is sitting right behind it and I just look right past it and straight at the 250R. I miss riding it. Somebody needs to sell me a swing arm with everything attached to it... minus rear shock. Lol

Took this picture of mine to share with you all this morning.

Thank you el diablo. I'm just getting started on buying a part every month. Its taking a long time bit wait till I'm done. All these years ive owned it I thought it was an 86' .. I finally got my azz up and looked at the vin. Tenth digit was an F. I guess I'm the proud owner of an 85'!! LOL

Started buying up as many nos for my qr. I did some research and found out there were options you could get from the factory. One of these is a swing arm pivot cap and a dust cap for the swingarm pivot bolt. And did anybody know you could get plastic plugs for the front grip? I also found 2 different styles of a rear brake master cylinder guard on eBay. I bought the one that is sloped and tubular. It has light rust which can be sand blasted along with my frame. I paid almost $20 on the swing arm pivot cap. Now in blue! It's going to look nice! I found somebody locally to powder coat.

Your Quadracers look awesome! I wish I could find a blue OEM grill in that good of condition.

Go to Honda east I think u can get the grill and radiator cover for under 100$ or something. Pretty sure if I remember correctly they were 87+ and available cuz I was looking into them at one point.
And thanks motoman!

I bought a seat cover with an American flag draped on it. I've wanted it for a long time!..... Buffed the rear low profile fenders with some rubbing compound. getting everything ready to receive a nos oem swinger that's never been used! It's more like putting a down payment on it cause it's about $600.00! But it will make my restoration look a lot better.

Finally got my power valve working right. The previous owner(aka Original Owner) turned the power valve clockwise instead of counter clockwise. Valve was stuck in the full throttle position at all times. Now I know what a two stroke powerb and feels like

Pep steering stabilizer on. Elka stage 3 rear shock swapped in place of the stocker.

I also tore the ice quad down for a revamp. Fresh paint on everything, bearings, brakes. Motor work. Should be good as new when it's done.

I unloaded it out of my truck. Replaced one of the caliper bracket bolts that got scared and jumped out. Then I ripped it around the yard a few times, pulled it in the garage and attempted to align the front end.
