Starting But Not Reving.
« on: January 11, 2013, 08:49:43 am »
Instaled the carb today after cleaning it out, Noticed I had no spark, and sometimes got a weak spark.Changed plugs and still nothing.Figured out my switch is dodgey and had to really push it over to make it spark.Kicked for a while and it fired up put it would not rev out,Choke made no difference.Any ideas?

I dont remeber the readings but I know they were well within the limits.
I dont think its  an electrical problem as the quad was going fine before the switch was playing up!Back sparking strong again

You need to do a compression check were you told me the bike ran off with everything off you might have damage the rings or something,You have fuel spark ,.now you need to see if you got compression.Did you check the flywheel like i told you.

Got a spark after a little tinkering!Have a good spark now!Fly wheel is fine.I need to get a tester to check compression But I think it has good compression. Not sure If its getting fuel!after A while kicking the plug gets wet with fuel.So it must be getting fuel?

Hey the flywheel key probally only could be checked by pulling the flywheel of.The way i told you i dont think it would work if it was sheared off.Cause it could jam it tight but in the wrong postion.
