85/86
87
88/89
90/92
is this right?

85-86 had a bigger piston
87 had the big reed set up
And I believe 88-92 are the same

87 had the big reed set up
And I believe 88-92 are the same

Yup. Also the 85-86 was a completely different engine where as the 87-92 could interchange with one another.    +k2

85-86 have the internal reeds, whereas the 87-92 have the reed cage behind the intake boot.
