Lectron carb size?
« on: May 23, 2015, 01:25:30 am »
Anyone know, off hand, what largest size Lectron will fit the stock intake boot? Want to upgrade before swapping pipes. I found a decent price on a 34mm. But, better prices on 36&38... Not running too crazy of a setup.  34 be enough carb, or should I go bigger?

Moderate porting
Pod filter(w/6" tubing between carb and clamp-on)
V-force w/spacer
FMF.  swapping for Q
170psi cold. w corrected squish.
110 w/Benoil

Why do you want a lectron? they are really only good for drag racing. Get a good stock 38mm Zilla mikuni tm38 carb and you can use the zilla air boot.
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.

As moon said if your not just drag racing get a stock zilla 38mm. Send it to jerry hall to have it opened up to 40.5. Look for a  34b 20

I have a zilla and two racers. But, asking about a 88' 250.  I'm glad I asked! It seems I've been misinformed... A friend of mine swears by Lectron(probably just because he's lazy and the metering rod takes out the guesswork haha).  Thanks guys, I'll pry go thru JH.  Worked with him before and was very pleased.

On a 250, there is really no reason to run a Lectron when a TM38 is readily available. As mentioned earlier, you may also need the carb boot for an LT-500 to complete the swap.
