86 crank??
« on: July 03, 2016, 07:23:45 pm »
Ok I just had my top end bored and put in new top end kit and I noticed some play in the crank. It moves when the crank is at the top of rotation side to side. I'm not talking about the rod it self I mean the bottom of the crank. Is it normal? I put in billet thrust washers and 98 RM wrist pin. Don't wanna mess it up anymore then it already is so I appreciate the help.

Sounds like crankshafts bearings. Might be time to get them replaced.

Ok pulled the flywheel cover and it moves a little in and out when I pull on it. So I shouldn't run it?
