It's parked and the motor is off he's just a **** and doesn't want to split his cases. I keep telling him lets just do it but he won't sack up and just wants to buy a good condition working bottom end.
If they are jumping out of gear you are probably going to need to replace at least two gears and possibly a shift fork. DO NOT KEEP PRESSURE AGAINST THE SHIFT LEVER WITH YOUR FOOT IN ATTEMPT TO HOLD IT IN GEAR. Trying to hold it in gear burns the tip s of the shift forks. I hate to say it but you need to park it or fix it before something breaks.....then it will be real expensive.
I have spare transmissions I may sell if the price is right. I can assemble a good bottom end for the right price as well
I do want to get the gears back cut. Might as well since I have to mess with the tranny.
step 1: splt casesstep 2: send to WCR for backcutting 200.00step 3: new shift forks and springsstep 4: reassemble and enjoy, its better than new.
