I've never been dune riding, but Im assuming the bike's at fault for not knowing whats over the top of the hill?  But the Zilla also shouldn't have been parked there?

He took it better than I prob. would have.... good thing they were maier plastics and not OEM!!  glad they re both ok though!

Fault aside, they are both lucky.

Wow, look at all the dorks with Go-Pro cameras on their helmets.

Kyle...if you ever want to ride some dunes where it's not dangerously crowded, I've got a spot for you.
In fact, you could literally be the only one there if you wanted, and every track you see would be your own.
Riding without having to worry about other people is a lot more fun.

There's no safe way to climb and descent that hill in an orderly fashion, because people just do whatever the hell they want.
Hence, head-on collisions.
Reminds me of the video that was posted not too long ago where a sandrail collided with a quad in the EXACT same manner.
You can only be as safe as the most dangerous idiot in the dunes.

A 'spotter' would have been cool. That and you don't want to park in the impact zone like where the camera man was

Blind sides suck, especially on a bike that can get big air. Bet he was pulling his seat cover out of his sphincter. Exactly why the big buggies have spotters and radios.

Guy on the zilla is a dumbass for turning around.

I'd definitely say he bears more responsibility than the bike, he turned around and headed down the middle of the valley where traffic is coming up.  He should have crossed over and went down the side with the rest of the traffic.

Darwinism at work here....

but shouldnt he have seen his flag also.

Thats the good thing about out huge dunes in utah ( little sahara by delta Utah) there are not many people out there.  If you go mid week you might only see 4-15 people all day.  Easter is packed of course.

SL limits the amount of morons a day, it's only 450 acres. The zones are layed out to head east or west depending on your section.
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.
