Definitely interested in a 250 version. I think it would be tough though due to the different air box set ups through the years. I'm currently running a super trick PVC set up. lol
A custom 91-92 intake would be sweet

Good luck on trying to make that.

I'm in for 1
After talking with my partner, he is thinking we might be done with the intakes. The first set of the v2's was discounted because the v1 could develop cracks. We'll see what the final verdict would be.... possibly have to take prepayments so we don't have to be out of pocket so much dough when waiting for them to sell.
I just don't think the 250's are in the plans.
Post up as soon as the 250 Version is done im hurting for something better than stock

reread his post. no 250 intakes
Sorry i missed that part. I guess Will have to fab something.
Correct 250's are not in the picture right now. Just talked to my partner and hopefully we will have a second batch of the 500 intakes built soon.
Larry,
Any intakes left or a date when a new batch will be avaliable?
Very nice set up! Is there any reason I couldent have an airbox built to house the filter and use your kit? I.e. clearances with rear shock, swingarm, brake rotor, etc. I have never seen an aftermarket lt500 airbox.
If you want to run a airbox but want a better set-up the Duncan Racing adapter for the stock airbox looks like the hot ticket.

Like mentioned above. This kit is an airbox delete kit. Both SBLT and we made this type of kit. Your best bet would be like Rider414 mentioned in using the Duncan Racing adapter. This bolts to the OEM airbox and lets you put on an aftermarket filter.
Somebody could design an aftermarket airbox for the Zilla pretty easily I believe. There should be no shock clearance issues as the OEM carb to filter boot goes around the shock. You would need to come up with a good design for the air intake though. I'm assuming you would want to keep water/mud out of the box, but allow enough air into the air box to make some good power.
Good luck in what ever you decide to do.
i made an aluminum airbox for my 500. made it probably 3 years ago now. never showed it off. wanted to see how it held up then made more. never made more! has held up good.
i have a airbox delete like this kit and i make an aluminum adapter to fit inside the stock airbox for a clamp on filter.
Would be nice to have an aluminum air box for my 500. Hint hint.
WHY does the bracket have to be welded in place? The bracket looks awefull homemade the way you have it. Please offer that with just a mounting spot or 3? People can make there own brackets that suit them. DONE! now everybody that has an LT and Wants the LT500 manifold and carb sytem can use your gear. Hell there are many bikes that could use something like that. You owe me one

False! Larry's intake is every bit a quality piece! I spend way too much money on aftermarket parts and was very pleased with it in person. Same thing with SBLT500's pieces.....you should see the aluminum LT250 airbox he did.

I wish my roll lobo had an airbox that sweet!
15 years off and on ALLWAYS as the headmechanic. I have been building bikes for 20 years. The Last Machinist I worked With got a Rude Awakening aswell. My Opinions Are real/ Because of that I have done successfull product design for a huge racing company SIXSIXONE back in 2002.
Wait till you see some stuff i have done to my LT. Besides> if you cant handle some critisism on design<shouldnt be playing. PERIOD
Im not asking to make parts out of ruby because its the hardest and most brilliant form of aluminum on earth lol I read University text for fun.
Now How many vehicle models does that fliter kit fit? Just one?

well post up some pics, i would like to be amazed..
I got a spectra (from autozone ) on my stock air box set up I choped the box a little to fit her but did the trick ill be making a delete kit soon tho for demo out of steel tho
I just want to thank you for making parts for the 20+ old machines and just keep doing what your doing the piece looks nice to me.
Hey dez what I did was cut the front of airbox out took the Carb to air box boot to autozone and found a filter that fit snug in side the boot so my air filter just sits in the air box. I made a bracket that goes across the top of the filter to hold her down the air box delete I was going to make sb makes so for 70 buck ill probly pick one up from him. Any one know the filter size they run on the delete kit. Id like it to be the same size as the Carb to airbox boot.
