AAEN Hybrid pipe
« on: April 01, 2013, 03:28:13 pm »
Here's some pics of the AAEN hybrid on my 87. The pipes getting sent out for ceramic coat and i'm polishing the silencer. A cobra 3'' sparky bolts on. This is the First AAEN hybrid pipe ever made, my 87 is the frame the jig is built off  -->

Biggest is the 2+1 a-arms since the front tire currently hits the pipe...

Here is my new hybrid pipebfrom AAEN. They sent me a Lt500r silencer so instead of sending it back I just modified it and made it work.

Anybody have any suggestions on clear coating the pipe? I really like the raw finish. Badmoon suggested coating it with oil like you would do eith a cast iron pan

Use 927 or a heavy gear oil after every ride.

Find a a hi temp.clear. then also oil it after every ride. Wash, time the humidity changes. Etc. Rubber gloves scotch brite and lacque thinner before you paint it too.

Pat, you need to post the AAEN part# so Ben doesn't have to go there everytime somebody wants a Lt250/500 Hybrid pipe.

They put the part# as 1002. It is listed on the receipt as the LT500/TRX pipe

If someone is interested in ordering one of these you have to talk to Olaf at AAEN. The cost is around $500 with the raw finish
