I searched and searched and searched and searched.

Has anyone ever put a different motor in a quadzilla chassis ? (Other than a snowmobile or crotch rocket )

It's my hope that maybe someone has put a 4 stroke with electric start and reverse ? -->

maybe a ds650 or can am 800 or something ?

Or maybe a banshee motor would be easy to start and would atleast it be 2 stroke quick ? ;D

we have an extra zilla and would really like to try something new, and not have to source a zilla motor and go through the expense of going through it .

My apologize in advance if this is in wrong section or against the grain to frankinstien a perfect Zilla chassis .

Don,t think I'd put a Banshee engine in a Zilla, wouldn't be a good match imo and might as well go and buy a Banshee than do that...Go all out and put a V8 in it.lol
Can,t fix stupid.:)

why would a banshee motor not be a good match in a zilla chassis?

Banshee motors are a dime a dozen around here, and most have been built up pretty respectively .

My guess is that they don't make a lot of low end grunt to get the Big zilla rolling ? But talk about easy to start in comparison.   S~

Low end grunt? Have any of you guys actually seen the options out there for a banshee?

Here is a 4mil stock cylinder on pump gas

Here is a 10mil Serval on pump gas

Or maybe a 24mil DM on alky

There are so many options out there.

maybe a banshee motor doesn't fit ? heck IDK , that's why I posted up this thread

I really want an alternative to zillawalletbreaker motor , Tired of seeing a perfectly good roller LT500R sitting around .

Pretty sure it has been done already.
And it will fit. If people can put in sled motors and crotch rocket motors, a banshee will fit.

Yeah but don't want a low slung heavy crotch rocket motor, or a huge offset snowmobile clutch hanging off the side.

Looking for more of a rider type mod hybrid.

I couldn't find any images on the internet , or under general google search . Warrior motors are practically free also, so perhaps a 4 poke  -->?

Warrior motors are weak and shitty. If you do a 4-stroke, make it a raptor.

Just do a banshee, you will be happy with the power (if you build it). You will be happy with the availability of parts. You will be happy with the availability of options you have with the motor.

 (Y) can score a 4mil fresh banshee motor for less than I can find a basketcase zilla motor  in a partial barter that was presented to me.

But I'd also entertain other engine options.  S~

Raptor motors arnt very plentifull for cheap unless there the 01 with bad trannies ::)

I would really love to follow a link or hear from someone with first hand experience ? Or see pics  S~

If I happened to have an extra LT-500 rolling chassis sitting in my garage, I think I would look for an LTR-450 engine or perhaps one of the DR engines.

This.  I'd look for a better more modern chassis to build a hybrid with.

Yeah, probably best to pay it forward and give it up to a purist who wants To build a complete zilla .

It's just we have way to much into it to sell it cheap.  :(
