So is that what an all original LT500 looks like?

Yes its clean and said to be unrestored by the seller. Also says its an 88 but it has more of the 89/90 featured items. So there is something that is not original about it. He told me the title and the frame VIN match so its an 88 according to the VIN.
Seat has been recovered. Paint on the engine doesn't look the same as the frame maybe? No Skid Plate.
Its pretty clean for sure.
has 90 decals not 88.. This is the same guy who had the edelbrock motor and claimed it was a hall ported motor. Still looks pretty clean

It's an 89 or 90. Those are the only years that came with white a-arms.
EDIT**
Just noticed his VIN. Frame is from an 88. It's been pieced together.
Cylinder studs have paint, as well as drain plug. It is clean, but has some cover up going on.
Overspray on carb breather lines and clamp that holds rear shock resivoir line also.
good eye guys, but i think we all know this seller is full of crap on all the stuff he sells.
Still looks better than 95% of all the 500's I've seen sold around Tampa.
its the longest lonk I have ever seen
I've never seen a lonk before but I will take your word for it, good sir.
This bike has a lot of small stickers missing, and a few bits here and there.
If you want to see a mint 500, look no further than the twins owned by Yagerzzz.
Those lonks can get very very lerge

I have said before, I am all thumbs.,
looks identical to my old mans 1990

Agreed, pretty sure that's the clown that had the HPR cylinder that was then ported by edelbrock, etc, etc.Wouldn,t trust that clown.
Anyone else notice he put it in the wrong section?

WOW--that got top dollar over 3600. I realize everyone has their preferences but it blows my mind that a stock bike will go for more than a fully built quad with q pipe and all top dollar parts-total restoration top dollar aftermarket shocks etc. I have seen two go for 3100 to 3500--and this goes for 3600+ WEll good for him he made good money. To each his own---but MAN--3600+ for that??? Dont get me wrong--It did look nice and was very clean but a quad with 6000 in aftermarket motor and goodies gets no more money.
My

Sometimes built to the tilt quads are a reflection of the owner's taste, style, and needs. My other thought is that in the world of two-strokes, alot of motor work could net a very fast machine but its not rideable, peaky, or simply a time bomb.
i bet it gets relisted or they part it out, from a non paying bidder.
or when buyer gets there and looks at it in person they pass on it.
a local dealer where my old man baught his 1990 zilla from brand new told him about a year ago to leave that thing totally stock which it still is and leave the little bit of rust that is started on the frame, said restoring it will lose value
Yeah you can tell the motor finish is not original. Its too glossy. Stock they had a crude dull look to them.
He was trying to play it like it was the original finish.
