You can also use an old socket. If you have one that's rusted in, that is going to suck. Cut it out with a dremel.
You can get the bearing flush with the end by taking a bolt, run it through the socket and bearing. Find a washer that is bigger then the bearing area, put that and a nut on. as you tighten the nut, the head of the bolt will push the socket down till the bearing is flush with the end. Tap it the rest of the way out.
Or just beat it out.
Make sure the end you push the bearing to doesn't have a lip or burr.
A few beers will make all this a little more difficult but a lot more enjoyable.
