Is $400 to much
« on: June 12, 2013, 10:31:05 pm »
Well I sorta found a 03 Suzuki z400
It has the round carrier in the rear 2 sets of plastics 8 wheels and tires new seat well that the good. Bike is tore apart.  It has a broke/bent valve. And he lost key for it.  I might pick this up tomorrow and either fix it or part it out  is there anything I need to know about this year.  It's still on stock bore and everything is all stock. No aftermarket anything.  Not even tail pipe.  LoL  but I am thinking I can't go wrong buying this bike.

It's definitely worth it John, just the roller is worth at least that much...and you've got a partially damaged engine along with some spare parts in the deal.

I guess I will see tomorrow exactly what shape it's in. All I am worried a out is if all parts are there. He said red light come on. He thinks it got hot to.  The longer he talked it seemed like story would change. He said he though it was water pump so he tore that apart and he  starts it with a screw driver. lol he told me $500 but I am gonna start at $300. If he won't take $400 then I am out. Plus I think he is on some bad drugs and needs cash. I told my one friend a out it and if I buy it I am gonna take it straight to his house so he will fix it for me.

Wife said Not another quad. lmao
But it can be a barn runner or a loaner bike.  O e thing a out them they look short. Like they will flip easy or pull wheelies. Never rode one before so I have no idea what I am getting into.

John, the 03's were a little weak around the front shock mounts on the frame... none of the Z's had a round carrier stock, so it is an aftermarket if it's round.  Good thing is there are soooooooooo many parts out there for the Z's.  I had an 05 and loved it.  Never had a problem.  I love my 09.  Great buy and another project to keep you and Landon busy.  Buy it!!

He's probably referring to the 05+ swingers that are the single bolt for adjusting the chain unlike the 03-04. Z400 are great machines for sure! They do need a little clutch work on the hills though as the front end likes to come up a little (not to bad). Watch some of his videos if you have already not he is the z400 hill climbing machine !

Where's that video shot? Like what riding spot? I'm gonna buy some 4 snow tires as my fathers day gift along with my dual gasser throttle for my build. I'll save for my vapor and go pro camera.

Wait till I get my LT done you guys will see some of the LT hill climbin at its best with gopro footage I hope.  +k2 O0

Got a guy that has a set of pro wedges for sale but found these brand new 4 snow tires on rims for z400 hubs for $100. Might pick these up and the pro wedges depending on how much the guy wants for the wedges. I'm getting these 4 snows tonight.

I hear the 4 snow are knock offs of the wonderful pro wedge II. I guess they don't flex as well or something ? But if you wanna seriously hill climb the pro wedge II are way to go. As for new pro wedges the one guy in the vid on a red/white 250r (nicknamed preacher) stockpiles them cause another one of them guys can get them new from a Honda shop. Preacher sells them for $120 a set. Buckeye where do you live it may be worth the drive to come up here and rip with us for a weekend once we get our sh!t back from matt. pitrone you should see how far you are away also.

I live in Cincinnati my sister lives in Pittsburgh and I have my moms 38' rv to use whenever I want. Any rides will likely have to wait until late August or fall cause with my wedding coming up and the race weekends I have planned now (provided I get my **** back from MHR) I'm booked until middle of August not a free second to ****.
