Frank stronger studs are not going to fix the issue. In fact if you crank on it too much you can warp the cylinder making it out of round causing wear or seizure problems for the piston.
If you get the head o-ringed you only need 18 foot pounds of torque to seal it.
Also when you get the head o-ringed have them re-cut the squish band & re-chamber the head which will cut down on detonation, especially since you don't run race gas and you drive it on the highway for sustained periods of time (no on & off the throttle).
