Good to know that Tusk is a good name. How are they for clutches?
Their not to bad ebc is better then dp is better and then barnett Kevlar Iis probably the best.
So that's why barnett is the most expensive on ebay!
Thanks,
Dave

I just ordered a heavy duty clutch for my banshee, i will let you know. I know some guys on the banshee forum are running them up to 75 hp with no problems. Apparently the best bang for your buck with clutches.
wow, 75 HP on a Tusk, than that's all I need.
Thanks,
Dave
Not in quadracer their not ebc is good for around 45 hp so tusk would be less Kevlar barnett is good for 65+ might be more cant reall remember their was thread on this. I have a used ebc clutch thats in great shape I would sell you for cheap. Biggest thing is springs. If you have a 87 to 92 250. You want to use 85 86 250 springs they hold more pressure then 87 to 92 spring . More pressure means less slip.
I had no idea about the different spring rate! so that means when I start putting my 90 LT motor back together I shoul put the springs from my 86 motor instead of the 90 ones?

new ones are overrated. Everything should be held together with duct tape and JB weld.
Just kidding.
Just a quick little update, my extended tusk hubs are almost here

when they do get here, I'll post up measurements and pics of the bike with the banshee rears then with the banshee tusk hubs. also just got a set of holeshots on steel rims for the back of it so Im pretty excited to see how those are going to look with the extended hubs.
More pressure means less slip.
and harder clutch pull

my quad racer has 70whp and runs a tusk clutch kit and springs. they surprisingly work well especially for the price.
how much did you get the banshee hubs for?
I run Jerry's 9 plate Kevlar Barnett clutch with 85-86 250 springs and a pro taper profile clutch perch and lever. My clutch pull is lighter then my dad's stock kfx400 clutch pull and Jerry has tested his 9 plate setup to hold over 70lbft of torque without slipping. This is all in a 500 btw don't try putting 9 plates in a two fiddy or you'll shoot your eye out kid!
I got them for $45 from a buddy who was parting his shee out. I ended up getting the tusk ones for $80 so hopefully it will help out the width issue, and Ill still be able to run the 4x115 pattern.

My bike had a tusk clutch when I first got it. I cant tell difference in pull of the 85 85 springs then the other springs.
