Anyone ever try putting a 250 motor on a blaster frame??

Why?
Put it in an LT230 frame.
The blaster's frame is heavier than the LT250 anyway, so you'd just have a short coupled 250 with some extra weight and drum brakes.

Blaster frames are so short and don't handle that great besides you would have to make room for the radiator

I got lt250r 87 frame.No bend no cracks no repairs.It has everything except a arms.

just as an idea! an air cooled atc250r motor or similar would be great. how about the 1981 rm250 or something. I think those bikes scream stock and air cooled...... The hardest worst part of it all will be putting pipes on it. you will need to look around to see what fits. Brand and model does not matter so much as bore and stroke applied with the tune in mind.....

A guy at the drag track has a blaster frame with a lt250 motor it was dumb as hell no room for the radiator and is just as heavy or heavier than a lt250 also had the crappy blaster suspension...

Yeah I'm getting a new frame and some +2 arms and I'm prob either gonna get some spacers for the back how strong are they though? I do some pretty hard trail riding no big jumps but there are some pretty big whoop sections in some trails

Banshee engine in a blaster might be a lot of fun, might be relatively easy to do like the 250/500 hybrid is.

One more thing why invest in shittty spacers when tusk billet hubs can be had for 80 bucks new.

Supposedly you can mount the radiator on the top front of the frame, where the hood goes (no room for a hood).
Others have mounted it sideways inside the frame and built a scoop to divert air through the radiator.

Get the G force hubs, really nice. either 400ex or z400 depending on 24 or 26 spline they add 1 1/2'' each side 3'' total. Pm yuzuha32 I think he can get a deal, also maybe q2w can get you some. send them a pm.

Gforce hubs for a banshee also fit 24 spline, if you had a set of banshee wheels.

What is an 87 1/2?
Only differences with the 87's were the axle splines.

Not to sure not many differences besides the splines but it says right on the plate 87 n 1/2 ill try and take a pic tomorrow and post it on here

ive tried both honda 24 spline and yamaha 24 spline on an 87 24 spline axle and the honda did not fit but the yamaha did. the honda splines are slightly different. if you have worn splines on the axle and or the hub the might fit. if you heat the hubs and like using hammers then it shouldnt be an issue.
