This is why the LT500R is the best dune bike ever!! You couldn't loaf a high strung banshee through the dunes like this. A 250 would be ok but its working pretty hard to pull the paddles. The 500 is perfect.

I have seen tons of video's of you guys play riding through Glamis. Most of you really just keep the big 500 spinning at lower rev's using the massive torque to pull you through the dunes. The power is there when you need to climb the dunes. You don't really have to beat the snot of it to cruise!! It's barely working hard.
Question:
- How far do you typically venture out? Does the lead rider use a GPS? Silver Lake Sand Dunes is only 500 acres so its hard to get lost

This is a bucket list of mine to make it out to CA to ride the dunes there and do exactly what is on this video - except with alot more wheelies.
