Five Hills at Glamis
« on: March 18, 2013, 07:49:34 pm »
Playing on the larger hills. This place is so much fun... Every time I watch some of this video I want to pack up and go back.

Hey Guy I love the video, great way to give some perspective, I've never seen this done before.

One thing, I don't think you where at Lizard Hill unless you where way off to the side.  Based on the vegetation and how short the hill in the video is I'm pretty sure that is not lizzard.

All of the other ones you're right on.

Nice job

Q2W:
We went to Olds one day with Glamisrider and Alkyzilla.  We left there to go run around but it was so rough with our stock suspension, we couldn't hang.  The rest of the rides were just the two of us.

Glamisrider:
That was way at the end of Lizard (pretty sure based on GPS.)  We came back to it later and realize it was much larger.  It was the first hill we found so we were pretty confused at that point.  I could be wrong, however!

Hate the rough stuff.  I saw a lot of nice smooth sand in your video though.  Made me wish i was back out there.

The three or four days around New Year's was really bad.  Other than that... AWESOME.

I have a lot more video to post.  It just takes time to sift through it all.  I love watching video others post so I will put up as much as I can.  We had beautiful sand the last couple days there and the riding near China Wall was an awesome coster ride.

That GPS of where you went is pretty cool how do you do that on the map overlay?

I am an Android guy so...  I use the app GPS Essentials to record the tracks.  Then, export them to a KML file for Google Earth (Google Maps would not import the complete track).  Once you import the KML data to Google Earth you can view it on top of the map view.

No doubt there is an iOS app <cough><gag> that will perform the same function... if that's the way you roll.  -->

Glamisrider:
Here is a pano I took while we were at Lizard.  I was playing on the hill directly in front of the Zillas and you can see the larger section to the right.  Does that look like Lizard to you?
