Here's another good one with Marty Hart and Jimmy White.

It's pretty freaking awesome seeing the LT take the holeshot from the Honda!!!

I wish I could get my hands on one of the old racers LT's,,,, just to see what they did to make them handle better. Hell, that was back in the day of true riders so they probably didn't do much, they could just REALLY ride. Ya know?

I wish the stupid freaking ban wouldn't have hit. We would have some SERIOUSLY advanced machines. Also, Ace Williams being put in a coma in 82 (or 83?) really threw the sport backwards as far as tech advancement goes. And I don't just mean Trike wise. That ban affected all machines. It basically forced the companies to stop experimenting with their bikes and made it where they could only sell what they were already making.

they are still advancing regardless of the ban.  KTM and Evinrude have done some really awesome things with 2-strokes the last few years.  Even claiming they have a 2-stroke that pollutes less than a 4-stroke.

Yup the ban stopped the whole 3 wheeler industry.

But on the horizon was a new machine...

Evinrude=BRP, has done some excellent improvements on the 2 strokes. Their E-Tec system is incredibly efficient, and they run extremely clean. There are a lot of arguments over the DS450, saying that it was originally designed to run an E-Tec equipped Rotax 250.

Very true ad very awesome picture!!! Wax was an awesome rider/racer so it doesn't surprise me one bit that Honda brought him in on the TRX-R. Just imagine if Ace Williams would have been able to take part in the quad uprising.... This is the same guy who had a Jawa 500 speedway engine in an ATC90.

Greg Clark was riding one of our HPR prepared LT 250s during the 1985 and 1986 seasons,  He won the championship in 1985.  Greg was a big guy that had a lot of talent but did not do much physical training.  It would always start showing after a few hard laps.
