Pictures in threads
« on: August 24, 2013, 06:30:24 am »
Clicking pictures in a thread doesn't seem to always work and if it's a high resolution picture the picture ends up being way larger than the screen.  Is there a way to just have the pictures already be bigger instead of a thumbnail like every other forum?

Upload the pics to photo bucket and post image code here.
Or, attach the picture, grab the location, and post image code here.
Most forums have thumbnails like this one or people who know how to internet better.

I found it easier to use photobucket.

Simpler

It varies from forum, but generally:
(img) add URL here (/img), and replace these (  ) with brackets [  ]
It's BB code (bulletin board code, back before they started calling them forums).
I believe there's a list of them somewhere around here that gives you all sorts of options.
Some are used for video, to change text font/color/size, or make clickable words as a link, stuff like that.

I use Chrome browser and Picasa / Google+ to post pictures. After you upload the picture to Picasa, view it in the browser and right click it. Choose copy image as then forum img tag. Paste that tag in your post and you're done. The process with photo bucket and other browsers is probably similar.

Why can't you just make it so that I can just copy my picture and paste it right here from my photo album on my phone? I mean is that just too freakin easy or what?
