When you look at the vid,  q has a helmet cam. Considering his real world results, not sure how he can use the footage in his infomercials.

Hey quadracer gang, wellllll, got my ass handed to me on an HPR plate and had to wash it all down with some purple koolaid yuuup!

Well I don't post a lot but since I was there the whole weekend I think I'll clear some stuff up... Dale clearly won the race and for that I congratulate him... RK's bike did not have nothing sneaky on it and he even shook Dale's hand after the race.. A second race was supposed to go down Sunday morning but Dale decided not to race and go home...Dale was invited to go riding with us and chose not too.  He and his group were invited to our camp that night for beers and carne asada but again chose not to come... I saw dales bike in person and it is a bad a@# bike however I never saw it in the dunes.  Zelda went on two good dune rides and is another nice build... I have no stake in the outcome and only went  to have a good time and see some sweet zillas in action... I think some  people bring a lot of hate to our past time and it needs to be let go... There are too many people wanting to stop atv riding all together we should be here as a group to have fun and help each other out... That's just my two cents...it was a really good trip and I am glad I got to be there...

Re: Dumont Fishing Trip - THE VIDEO!
« Reply #111 on: March 26, 2013, 12:06:38 am »
The reason there are not more videos posted is because I think most everyone there assumed it was just a practice run.  Hardly anyone had their camera's ready - and there were plenty of people and camera's there.  But unfortunately, the whole thing was over before anyone could blink.

Let's set the record straight:  RK showed up almost 20 minutes late to the 2 pm race (fashionably late - making a grand entrance).  There were no practice passes.  A single pass was made, and RK hung it up - Dale even offered him best 3 out of 5 passes, but RK refused.

A phone call from RK to DF about 3 hours after the race was to invite him over for carne asada and beer.  No doubt it was a nice gesture, but DF was there with his family and they already had dinner cooking.  But let's be serious, with all the smack talk and BS videos behind the scenes leading up to this event, would YOU go hang out with this guy?  Uh...no.

When Q offered to race again Sunday - DF asked what time, and Q said about 9ish.  At 10:00 am Sunday (with a no sign of Q), DF packed it up.   At 10:40, Q comes over asking if DF wants to go on a dune ride.  That is not a refusal to race.  Dale has NEVER refused to race... ever.  That was a refusal to unpack everything for a "dune ride".  He has a 5+ hour trip to get home while RK has a two and a half hour ride.

As for duning, both of DF's dune bikes went on 2 short dune rides Saturday - I was on his 500 and DF was on his hybrid.  We spent the morning looking for Q on the hill (at 9:55 and 12:00, and DF finally had to go chase RK down in his camp - and that's how the 2pm race time even got set).   I have been riding DF's bikes for for many years.  He rides them all over Glamis and let's me do the same.  DF doesn't own a "special lower level duner bike" - he always has a duner that he can also race up the hill.   He has at least 2-4 dune bikes any given day, and usually has a drag bike or two in the works.  It is a hobby for him - a serious one.  And for him to hear someone bragging CONSTANTLY about their stuff being "the baddest on the planet", or "there is nothing else in Zilla World like his Q-built bikes", or spank racing all these hotshot bikes (mysteriously when no one is around)... well.... that stuff gets old.   Especially when the guy smack talking won't line up to prove himself, and has said repeatedly that dyno testing isn't the real world.  Well, after 5 years of refusing to line up with Dale until now, here is the real world:

I like the 2nd video and it was a lot closer off the start then I assumed it was from the lead at the end.

The race on that video is the first race in the Vegas video. Which also showed Q running the hill 2 more times. So there's video evidence that contradicts one story, that Q ran the hill once and that was all he did. Two sides to every story as always but clear that dale won that race. I liked the look back as he and rk got close together right as he really started to pull away halfway up the hill.

So this is about character now? Good vs. Evil? Tribe vs. Tribe?

I would have liked to see a couple of more races. Anyone who has lined up in the sand knows one little slip up can mean your eating sand. I would love to have either bike and I hope this is all in fun but it's not sounding like it.

Ain't ever seen it......but I have heard it.

We don't have big sand hills over here. What is proper shooting etiquette? Was Dale REQUIRED to maintain his line?  C:-) Or like motorcross, you can close doors since you are in front?

Forget the start, How about the last 1/4 of the race, seems to me Dales bike made his ground in the top end.  2c
And in the end, the olive branch was extended by the loser. Seems like everyone had a fun weekend and everyone got home safe. I say we move on past this mess. If ice racing was this drama filled, I'd prolly stop racing. I enjoy my hobbies to relax the stress of everyday life, Not drive my blood pressure up.

A lot of what you're seeing is the angle of the video.

dale does roll up to the start but if you look at RK at the moment of start, he turns his head and they both pin it with in a 1/10 of a second.   You can also see both of their roosts and Q's is again a 1/10 of a second slower.

Gotta to say RK put a lot of work in to Zelda with the 1000 intake and the dual carbs etc Dale is doing pretty good to beat that bike with a duner none the less.

that was a great video SandFox.  I think another race should've been run though.  I would think there would be flaggars at the start and lanes of some sort for such an important race and probably one without a banshee.  was that guys with you?  actually I noticed you said everybody was thinking it was a practice run.  when you guys normally race out there is it setup like a drag rce and lanes normally?  I would take any of those bikes other then the banshee anyday  ;D

Annoying or not there's some history you and others need to be aware of. Probably better off to let Q defend himself on another forum.

The second video definitely shows the gap better!
