Powder coating LT230s A arms?
« on: November 05, 2015, 11:03:39 am »
I'd like to powder coat the A arms on my 85 LT 230 but I'm wondering if the bearing/bushings(?) can withstand the 400*F necessary to melt the powder?  Are they all metal. Or is there some easy way to remove them without damaging them?

Im doing this myself, so Im not buying new ones or paying a shop to push them out.

If you can, use a hydraulic press to push the bearings out.

I am in your boat, I used a good fitting deep well socket to hammer the old bearings out.  It didn't tear up the bearings anymore than they already were.
