There are two different LT500R Dr. Q pipes. The Original and the 2.0 revised "new" pipe. I have the 2.0 pipe that brings the power back into the midrange more than the original Q pipe. Both pipes have explosive power on a good running Zilla IMHO. I had the same needs that Rogue did and wanted the power to come on sooner. I didn't need a high strung pipe.

So does the Q v2 have the same overev that V1 has?

I can't honestly answer that yet since I have not been able to get to the dunes where I can hit the drag strip and test that out in the upper gears.

From what I've read, the v2 was redesigned to trade a bit of the overrev for mid range. -

Q said you lose around 300 RPM on top, depending on your engine set up. But the power is moved around 800 RPM lower.

Mitch, that's the way a pipe comparison should be!
It would be nice to have an archived sticky with each pipe represented.
Things to include should be general info about the pipe (fit and finish) installed pics, and a few dyno runs all on the same test bike.
Maybe it's just being hopeful to have all of that in one spot, but it would definitely be a great resource in finding the right pipe for your riding. -

I've got a OOF drag pipe made by RDZ for a 250 hybrid, might fit a zilla I'm not sure.
It was a one-off development and I never got around to testing it.
JGILBO from the old site helped me get them to manufacture one, since at that time Q was in the middle of another sabbatical or whatever you want to call it and nobody was building good hybrid pipes.
The stinger was designed to be used at this length without a silencer, but could be shortened and a silencer fitted on, I can't remember exactly how that went actually.
Might be a killer pipe or it could be mediocre, who knows..thought I'd add it to the list.
It's bare steel and keeping it oiled and inside on a shelf still didn't stop surface rust from forming.
Maybe it needs ceramic coating or chromed, I dunno.
If anyone is planning on doing some dyno pipe comparisons and want to try it out, send me your address and I'll ship it out (to test, not to keep )

I know this is way late...but i found the CT Outlaw pipe to be an awesome pipe! The bottom end isnt outrageous but it's there forsure! hard to explain but it has a torquey(not a real word lol) feel. When the mid-range hits it's pretty impressive
and it doesnt fall off hard, I can feel a continous pull throughout the rest of the rpms. The only real Con I could fine with the pipe is that you have to cut your plastics thats all though, some people will tell you that your left foot gets hot but the silencer shoots out lower than the foot peg you'll actually feel more heat coming off the expansion chamber on the right side. My original pipe was the fmf and well there's a huge difference! but I also had some motor work done when I switched to the CT pipe. Just my
