Ok so switching the subject a little bit, I bought an 88 Mikuni Carb off ebay. It looked beautiful in the exterior but upon tearing it down it looked like it had sat with watery gas in the bowl for some time. Nothing that hasn't really cleaned off with carb cleaner, but still disappointing. The pilot jet is eligible and I don't know what size it is at all. So I was tearing it down and that little snap ring thing that holds the needle valve down went flying, and upon looking for it I stepped on it and it snapped in two  :-X So question is it even possible to get just that little thing? Sites I looked up like this one http://www.ronniesmailorder.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?section=79034&category=ATVs&make=SUZUKI&year=1987&fveh=1826 lump it together with the whole assembly #8. Or has anyone else done this and used something equivalent they picked up at hardware store or something?? Definitely a stupid moment lol!!

What you did everyone has done on the learning curve. Those little clips seem to fly at the worst time.

Sudco.com sells mikuni & keihin carb parts/jets. In my jetting box I keep extra clips for those oh chit moments

So first I'm pretty sure that's the correct diagram on sudco. I still looks like I can't buy the individual little part. I can understand why they wouldn't want to sell just that little clip. I would love to get a few of them to keep around too. Is there someone on the site I'm overlooking where I can buy just the clip? Where did you get all your extra? Thanks again for the help little things like this suck lol.

My glasses were awol so I misread things, that clip isn't one I have found extras of. You are probably right about having to buy the whole assembly. One fell outa the box of carb parts I had. Pm if you can use it

So I gonna start jetting soon since the weather finally seems to be starting to break. I wanna order some jets to have to switch out and so I dont have to run to the dealer every time I want to change one out. So my question is, can someone give me a ballpark of a few main jet sizes to order and a few pilot jet sizes based on my setup? I am pretty much all stock except for the 88mm piston, paul turner head pipe, UNI filter and V3 reeds. The carb is the stock bore and I will be running a closed airbox. Thanks!!

I'd guess between 375 and 420 on mains and 22.5-27.5 on pilots. I'm no jetting wiz though so wait for someone else to chime in.

Thats what I was also thinking in general. I just dont wanna buy 5 jets that are way out of my range and have a waste lol. My spring break from school is in 2 weeks and I wanna try and get her jetted good for the spring when I have a little extra free time on my hands lol.
