MAXXIS RAZR 2 or GBC X REX
« on: May 06, 2013, 08:11:54 am »
I couldn't get myself to spend the extra $200 bucks so I just ordered the GBC X REX front 21X7X10 rear 20X11X10. But i was still wondering what you guys thought.

Yeah the razr2 is way over priced now. I went with the xrex tires too. Got two 22x7-10 for the price of one razr2!

To me they look identical.  So much so im suprised there are not legal issues.  I ordered the x rex fronts in a 23 inch but the company took my money without any stock and no idea when they would get more x rex in so they just sent me the razor II at the same price.  I was happy with that, but I doubt the razor II is a better tire--just way more expensive.

Good deal... if the Xrex are anyhting like the razr 2, you will love them.  Yesterday all my riding buddies were commenting on how my Razr 2's still look brand new and their holeshot HD's and Sr's are worn out already... and we all 99% of the time ride together!  Love my Razr 2's... glad  Istocked up on 3 sets of fronts and 1 set of rears over the years before the price skyrocketed!

Yeah I got my razr2 20x10-9 $79, so you know I bought them a while ago.

Anyone try the gbc xc master? They look just like the xrex/razr2

The one thing about the razr2 is they don't wear very fast!

No mention of the x Rex on the gbc site!

Xc master claims a stronger bead area over the x Rex.

i love hole shots, they are a way softer compound then the razr tires. yes they wear out faster but they hook up pretty good.
the razr tires i have seem to spin out more. i cant compare other tires, these are just about the only ones i have.
1 set of razr tires and like 6 sets of hole shots,
life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sidays totally worn out shouting "HOLY SH*T...WHAT A RIDE!"

The holeshot HD was my first choice but they don't make them in 20x11x10
