Looking to get first zilla, just a few questions
« on: September 03, 2018, 11:29:13 pm »
I've had  a few lt250r's. Recently found an 87 zilla that I'm looking to purchase. It's been owned by current owner for 15 years. It's been garaged and not run for last 10 years. Before being put away had Jerry hall rebuild motor along with some porting. I'm wondering if there's anything I need to look out for being it's an 87. Owner said flushed fuel out and it started up 2nd kick. Said it's got low hours on rebuild. I'm gonna ask for some receipts to get more info. Also what is a decent shape running 87 zilla worth in 2018. Just want to make sure he's not asking too much. He said wouldn't sale but has found out about some medical issues and doesn't want it to just got and leave his wife with it.

I'd assume it would need rebuilt after sitting for 10 years, unless it was regularly kicked over.  It's hard to tell what it's worth without any pictures.

Just wondering why it would need rebuild due to sitting?
