i am wondering whats the cheapest bearing set for the quadzilla. i have found a project quad for $700 that will need bearings and an exhaust. is it worth getting? any input would be awesome thanks guys!
What bearings are you wanting?
all of them except for the ones in the engine.
and the kickstart rebuild kit.
thanks another site was telling me for them $700+ for all the bearings i almost passed out lol
I've used there kits and had good luck so far.
WOW thats cheap!!!! I paid like $150 for full pivot works a arm kit. Thats lifetime warranty too though.
ill have pictures for everyone soon its a really good deal that i cant pass up. oh i forgot it will also be needing a top end rebuild? im goign to ask for the piston and rings to see what the dmg was and make sure there isnt anything pieces missing in the piston.
bearings and bushings cost as much as a good port job, lol
i always tell guys to find a bike that someone else has changed all that stuff cause it starts to add up real fast. and dont forget sometimes they are a royal pain in the @ss to get out.
700 bucks sounds like a good deal,
Screw replacing all them chassis bearings find you a newer 400 or 450 rolling chassis to put the motor in! Wish I didn't waist so much money on the Zilla chassis and just did a hybrid from the get go with my motor.
would i need to fabricate or weld anything if i got a 450 or 400 rolling chasis?
Don't listen to bucky, his dumb ass don't know
**** from french fries. He just has a daddy with a big pocket book. For the $700 and $150 on good bearings you'll have a good start.
Jealousy becomes you Badmoon. My dad is like a loan shark he loaned me the money to get my build done quicker then I could've done myself. He's been paid back in full minus my wedding gift money.
I have no clue I've never built a hybrid lol I was being half serious. Although I really do wish I had just built a hybrid from the start.
So having no clue makes it okayto give advise on a subjuct you
have no clue about? Sensless dribble.
Wasnt there a list somewhere that had all the brg #s so you could go to your local brg distributor and source them there? I have a kaman outlet near me that was reasonably cheap that makes it worth going
I have no clue what goes into building a hybrid regarding welding and fabrication. It was a suggestion not a demand ... Your comment = senseless dribble.
We have one of those for the 87+ 250?
thanks for input guys ill just get the bearing set then im going to have a lot of work cut out for me between cleaning and polishing parts to having my motor shipped out to my builder. i was thinking about a trail mx port and maybe some valve service? also is there a way that i can make more power out of the valve? with machining i guess i could ask my machinist but im not going to call him until im ready to ship engine.
also what is the best reeds and cheapest ones that i can buy?

You said it. Don't know how its done, or how to do it. So why tell someone to do it. If someone told me to put my 500 Zilla engine in something else I would tell em to get fukd. Some bad bearings, duh, just git rid o it and wedge it somtin else.

I guess you missed where I said this so ill repost it for your lack of reading comprehension skills.

Notice the lol and the 5 words after it?
Warmeck, what are you referring to about getting power out of the valves? There's only two valves in a 500 reed valve and power valve. Reeds your best bet is v3 or preferibly v2's. Power valve is adjusted based on tension to where you want it to close in the rpm range, this will depend on your porting and pipe selection. When you get this bike or before read through my build thread there's a lot of stuff about replacing chassis bearings that I learned the hard way and might answer some of your questions before you have to ask them.
Buckeroo went thru a few challenges in his build
Good prerun if your gonna be diving in there
