New to me 1988 LT250R
« on: October 22, 2020, 08:54:57 am »
Good morning, Fellas.  I just bought a clean, but in need of some TLC, 1988 LT250R.  I want to do a full frame up restoration on it.  I stumbled across this forum while searching for ideas on builds and how to do certain projects, since I don't know much about 2-strokes.  I and I saw how much support and help there was on here.  So, I signed up, and I wanted to say hi, since I will surely be doing a lot more asking than answering, until I get some knowledge of this machine.   A little history of why I got this bike:  When I was a kid (7 or 8 years old), my neighbor raced an 87 or 88 LT250R, And I would get to go watch him race.  And he always won, so I was always excited for that.  And one time, they let me sit on his race quad.  I was hooked and wanted this particular quad ever since.   And here I am, 30 years later.  I finally got my hands on one.

Thank you to everyone in advance.  Im looking forward to learning this machine with a lot of input from here.
