Interest in Billet clutch baskets.
« on: December 02, 2014, 10:04:19 am »
I contacted Hinson to see if they even have the CNC programing for the 250 baskets any more. I will contact The outfit that did them for magic also.
Is there any real interest in them and who would actually shell out the 2-300 they would probably be.

What about the ones on eBay.

Hinson said out of production and wont be do them I asked about a minimum order no go. Looking into the SRP's from Magic Racing. If nothing pans out there have one more possibility. So far not looking like any ones going to want to do them with the lack of interest here 2-3 pieces wont make it happen.

What type of quantity would be considered a good start for a minimum order? Also, have you tried to contact Barnett? I sent them an old basket 2 years ago for them to copy. I still haven't heard back from them.

Not sure on Srp, Hinsons not interested at all. Going on 2 years later from Barnett I doubt there interested either. Going to need a small CNC shop. I put my last new Srp in the 302 last season, so I'd like to have one on the shelf.

I just had to file small grooves out of the PE one I have on the one side. I'd like to have one on shelf as well cause this one will be beat in no time I'm sure.

I would def buy a billet basket in fact been looking myself and can't find nothing. I just want something better to hold up expecially after you (Carl) get done with my topend, and me doing the hotrods bottom end I would just like to know I have done everything to like new or better condition and to know the onlything I will have to do after a year or so riding is go to the next bore/ piston rings. So after your done with my topend and I get you paid then next month I will have the cash to get a better clutch basket. So please keep me updated on if you can get someone to build us one. Also I was told that the rm250 think he said years 86-87 would fit but I can't even find one for them plus don't think I would want something thats not made for my exact atv.

Thanks I'll try that as you said it shows them on their site but says out of stock and will update when they get them in. I just want to make sure everything in this motor is up to par after putting all this cash in it I would hate to get it all together to turn around and blow out the clutch basket or something with the clutch period.
