Thanks. I am going to clear coat it with a high temp ceramic paint once I get it all together. That will help to keep it looking good for a few years with only having to wash it after every ride. But once the clear gets scratched, or starts to fade then it starts looking like crap and you have to sand it all back down then repolish and re clear it. Ive polished rims for a good while now but this is my first motor. I use clay bars starting with a black rouge to cut, then a jewlers red rouge to get rid of any scratchs, and finish with a white diamond to put the super shine on it. It didn't cost me nothing but time since I have well over $600 invested in all my polishing equipment from years ago when I did my Harley, and was doing rims. But I figured since this is my winter project what the hell I will waste some time by polishing every piece of aluminum on this thing lol.
