I got my '86 silencer yesterday. To my supprise it is aluminum. It is in very nice shape, not beat up at all. But bein aluminum I don't have the spool gun or gass to weld it. I'll have to make a relocation bracket to mount to the grab bar to mount the silence3r. Got it fit to the fmf mid pipe, I cut the poor silencer right off. Gonna have to get a gfood clamp tp secure the pipe/silencer connection. Just holding it up with my hand in the pick cause I didn't make the bracket yey. It is definitely a lot quitter at thje rear of the quad, but still so muck 2 stroke pipe noise, got a roll of header wrap ordered, hopefully next Friday I'll have it all done and I'll have my buddy bring his db meter over for a tes D?t.
