what types of clutch you guys use and what works the best
« on: August 19, 2013, 06:13:59 pm »
I have 91 lt 250 and have a ebc clutch which I increased the power of the quad now it seems to be slipping. Runs great on grass but slips on pavement. Is the Kevlar clutch the way to go. I was thinking of Barnett kevlar. So please chime in

Barnett dirt digger with the 85-86 springs.
If brains were gasoline, you couldn't power a **** ant's go-cart 2 laps around a cheerio.

Look at your basket, the fingers might be worn. If there not to bad you can file them down flat. If there bad get a billet basket. The grooves in the basket fingers can make them slip.

Which springs you using rainman

Using the springs that come in the Barnett kit.Stiff enough and it takes a beating from hard running MX to 2nd gear launches off the line.

I have one engine with an EBC dirt digger and the HD springs. I also have a TUSK clutch with the HD springs. I like both of them.

What is the difference in 85-86 springs? I would like to understand what makes them sought after instead of just putting them in because I have read it on here.

they are stiffer 85 86 Springs but I really thought about using the ones that came with the Barnett they felt stiffer then the 85 86 springs did.

Well if the 85 86 springs are good enough for a zilla they should work good in a 250
