Clutch Cover Bolts?

I im currently away from my bike and I im wanting to change the stupid screws on the clutch cover to bolts. my question is does anyone know all the measurements for the different screws? so i can pick them up at the hardware store before I go to my bike. thanks, i hope to learn lots of stuff off of this great site! thanks again!

Best bet is to look up on line that sells OEM parts, they usually list the bolt length in the pricing area.
Unless we can get one of the LT250 Gurus to answer for you.........

well tried different sites and no luck. thanks though ill just have to go to the bike and get the screws to match at the store with.

i was unaware that the 85-86 had screws instead of bolts. my 90 had bolts from the factory. perhaps the 87+ bolts will fit the clutch cover.

thanks for the tip ill definetly have to get a bolt kit when i restore my bike but for now ill just bring them to the hardware store

yes 85-86 have philips bolts.  87-92 use different length bolts, different engines and different cases.

change them to allen cap bolts.  10 mm head bolts won't fit on all.  and allens look nicer.

i know i have a list of them somewhere.  made it years ago when i was building 85-86 engines

I would also recommend putting anti-seize on the threads, it's cheap insurance. Bolts broke off in the cases sucks.
