Catastrophe?
« on: October 31, 2013, 04:00:44 pm »
So guy sold me two quad racers for a good price one running 86 the other a basket full of parts but it's a 90 so I been try a split for the longest heard sum juggling of parts this is what I found. The guy I bought it from had the cases together without the crank. Seems like pieces from the crank came loose n all he'll broke loose what to do! Can I save these cases or anything?

And the pin was missing from some of the trans. Parts I have heard from builders to not remove them, gives you a headache or it might break off next rebuild. This will be my first lt250r rebuild so I look towards you guys for insight and advice

Some builder may want to repair those cases but I highly doubt it, there pretty beat up!
I would suggest start looking around for a bottom end or just pieces you need.

Cases aren't very cheap either. I just went through the same thing you are going through.  Don't ya just love it when people "fix" things. Lol

Lol yeah idk but it's gonna cost sum dough.... Way my time and money goes, I might as well look for this to be up and running by next summer. Could I sand it down I mean it look like some of it was welded where the crank sits. I'm thinking it was junked last time it was rebuilt
