There Should be pins inthe piston. The ring gaps should be over the pins. The ring will be angled on the top side, square cut on the bottom. Ring gap should be .22 to .39" there should be an arrow on the top of the piston that points toward the exhaust. Get it backwards and she'll seize up before u hit 5th gear. Well at least that's what my YZ125 did. I got it right the second time. Luckily that was the first year for the nikasil coated cylinder!
