I have a 87 250r and for some reason I can never get it into neutral when the motor is running.I usually have to shut it off to find it. And its always down to first when I stop but if I try to go to neutral the shifter won't go up at all. What's the problem here?
I would like to know if there is a reason for this also. Seems I can never find it unless I don't want to an peg it out. Maybe wore out shift forks I don't know
Who knows. I guess when I have to bore out the head ill check out the transmission.
There are a few things it could be, i've had a bent shifter shaft make it really hard to find neutral.
I think a worn out clutch basket, with grooves in it,will make it hard to find neutral as well.
Well you could have a bent shifter or a fork is worn out. spring on the neutral stop is off inside the case. shifting drum knuckles could be out of specs clutch worn out . Try tighten your clutch cable up and see if it will go first.
its between 1st and 2nd.
Your just askin for it mister...............................
You don't know where neutral is?
It's under there ------>
