how do i adjust the powervalve on my 91 lt250r were is the dial located witch way do i turn it and how far can someone post pics on were the dial is ?
well you gotta take that off, and it should be at 1 turn ccw (counter clock wise)
The dial is on the side of the jug near the front of the engine. It is a round button-knob about the size of a quarter and has a small screw on each side. Just grab that b*tch and give it a little turn.
Yup, loosen 2 screws a bit and turn the dial until you find a position where you like the power.
ok but when i start it and hit the throttle and look in the little glass eye it does not move very much is that bad?
How high are you reving the motor
You have to rev it pretty good.
it only moves about 1/3, you wont see it spin around or anything like that.
ok so when i went to adjust the power valve i loosened the screw and they both snapped right under the head and r stuck inside what can i do to get them out.....
Drill them out and re-tap them
They hold the pv in place, there is only a o ring in the cap, you can get a air leak and lean out your motor. There is no way they should have been that tight.
well im not sure why they were that tight this is the first time iv tooled with it.....
Ez outs are not that easy to work with if the stud is seized in there. Those bolts are 5-6 mm? I'd hit it with pb blaster and let it sit if going that route.
If you know someone with a tig or mig welder it's often easier to weld a sharpened bolt to it, the heat helps loosen it up and it will come right out
Mine were tight like that. Striped right away. I had to drill and use a easy out to get them out. You can say I replaced them with bolt from local hardware store.
