Took an old cylinder an chucked up an drilled some boost ports , I'm kinda curious as to how it would run? Any info , lmk what u guys think , any power increase for these bastard child years would be good. It was just a wonder if it would help, here's a pic
You should not have drilled the holes connecting the intake to the crankcase. This modification will not add power, you will loose power. This type of modification does not work on a piston port type intake. The engine may be difficult to start. The crankcase will suck air in through the holes and reed valve before the piston uncovers the intake port, and blow most of it back out through the holes after the piston closes the port. All of the air a crankcase fed two-stroke consumes must pass through the intake port and then be held in the crankcase until the transfer port allow it to flow into the space above the top of the piston.
