Just curious if anyone else has run into this. I found today that my 91 is leaking where the case halves meet under the crank. I cleaned the case off good after riding some earlier and could see the fuel/oil seeping out. The quad doesn't rev on it's own.......the idle will raise slightly after you crank it on a cold motor but will drop back to normal. I sprayed carb cleaner on the cases while it was running and no noticeable change in idle.
I've never messed with the jetting on it. It's jetted to the rich side right now and the temps were cool when I got it a few months back. In another month the temps are gonna be up from the 80's to around 100 or better so I was going to recheck the jetting then.
Are you sure that its not just spooge slightly leaking down from the flange, then just collecting down there?

I cleaned the flange area and the front of the case real good and it will be bone dry up there and the fuel/oil will be on the bottom. Unless it's following the case half seam down and not running out untill it gets to the bottom of the case.
Are your cases blue?
Blue with a splash of bare aluminum and black here and there.
Then I have just the thing for you...

You just wished you could have thought of something as simple and elegant as blue RTV.
i had leak under my crankcase first time i rebuild my engine because i used silicone for the crankcase half . the silicone get eat by gas and a leak start under my engine. now i use only case bond like permatex motoseal, Threebond 1194, yamahabond, suzukibond ( non silicone based).
Hondabond on all my engines
I used yamabond before didnt like as well suzukibond. Seem like the Suzuki is stronger to me.
I took gas out of my Yamaha and put in the ole Suzuki and it runs better lol
3 Bond 1211 is the ONLY stuff to use
