87 would be worth testing on the dyno, The 87 V-2 have 12 petels  (3 sections x 4) the 87 V-3 has 16 petals (4 sections x 4) with more chances of the reeds floating, Remember your reeds are what valves are to a 4 stroke.

I don't know if the 88 would show much difference between V-2 and V-3's since Moto Tassinari now has 2 different reed tensions for the 88 V-3  Standard  and the High Tension for you guys that like to rev out to 8000 Plus rpm.
