Good Sound Meter?

This is the best I can find for a small amount Galaxy Audio CM-140. If not radio shack has one for $40 buc I believe.

If your looking for a ballpark DB I say go for it. You can also ask a cop if he wouldn't mind using his meter. Some cops have them and there good ones.

If you have an iPhone just download a free db meter. They're really accurate downloaded this one I pictured and tested it at a car audio shop that has professional sound meters and it was pretty close to right on.

Ive used those.Problem is once it starts going over 100DB the phones mic distorts a lot and for what he wants its going to be higher than that.

I tested mine with my car audio system which was maxed at 161 db's and the meter would register anywhere from 157 to 168. So even at high db levels it was still in the ball park not 100% accurate but its close for free.
